We check your coverage before you commit.* Insurance and coverage #### Insurance and coverage Cost is the first thing most families ask about. Here is a straight answer, with every plan we accept named in writing. Call (786) 432-7113 How to get started ##### Does Medicaid cover ABA therapy in Florida? Yes. Florida Medicaid covers ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis when it is medically necessary and prescribed. We accept Florida Medicaid and we will check your specific plan before anything starts. Yes. Florida Medicaid covers ABA therapy for children with an autism diagnosis when it is medically necessary and prescribed. We accept Florida Medicaid along with Simply Healthcare, TRICARE, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Florida Blue, Cigna and Evernorth, Aetna, and Curative, and we check your benefits before you commit to anything. Coverage for ABA is often better than parents expect. Florida Medicaid covers it, TRICARE covers it through the Autism Care Demonstration, and Florida law requires certain state regulated plans to cover the treatment of autism including applied behavior analysis, subject to the conditions in that law. We are deliberately not telling you that your plan must cover it. Which rule applies depends on the kind of policy you have, who regulates it, and your child's age and diagnosis, and getting that wrong would be worse than saying nothing. What we will do is read your actual plan and tell you what it says. The usual blocker is not whether a plan covers ABA. It is the paperwork, and that part is our job rather than yours. What we will never do is start services and work out the money afterwards. ##### Which plans do we accept - Florida Medicaid - Simply Healthcare - TRICARE - Blue Cross Blue Shield and Florida Blue - Cigna and Evernorth - Aetna - Curative Plans and benefits change, and a policy is sometimes administered under a different name from the one on the card. If you do not see your plan, call us anyway and we will check properly. ##### What do you need from me? Four things, over the phone. Please do not send these through this website. 1 ###### The name of your insurance plan 2 ###### The member ID from the card 3 ###### Your child's date of birth 4 ###### Whether your child already has an autism diagnosis If you do not have all four, call anyway. We would rather start the conversation than wait for a perfect set of details. ##### We check before you commit Call (786) 432-7113 and we will verify your benefits and tell you what we find, in plain language, before anything starts. Plans change, and some policies are administered under a name that is not the one on the card. We will check rather than turn you away on a guess. Our number is (786) 432-7113. ###### Will I owe anything before we start? We check your benefits first and tell you what we find, including any copay, coinsurance, or deductible your plan applies, before you commit to anything. We do not start services and present a bill afterwards. ###### Do you take private pay? Call us to talk it through. Our number is (786) 432-7113. ###### Do you handle the authorization paperwork? Yes. Once your child is assessed, we submit the treatment plan and the authorization request to your plan and follow it up. You do not have to chase it. ###### What do you need from me to check my coverage? The name of your plan, the member ID on the card, and your child's date of birth. Please give us these over the phone rather than through this website. --- ### [Who We Serve: Ages and Needs](https://professionalhbservices.com/who-we-serve/) *ABA therapy for toddlers, children, and teens with autism in Miami-Dade and Broward. Call (786) 432-7113 Our services ##### What ages do you work with? Toddlers, children, and teens. Care is shaped around your child's age and stage, because what helps a two year old learn to ask for help is not what helps a fourteen year old manage a school day. We work with toddlers, children, and teens. Care is shaped around your child's age and stage, because what helps a two year old learn to ask for help is not what helps a fourteen year old manage a school day. ###### Early years Toddlers and preschool The years where a small amount of the right support goes furthest. Work is mostly play: asking for things, joining in, tolerating change, and the first daily living routines. ###### School age Primary and middle school The demands of a school day, and the gap between what a child can do at home and what they can do in a classroom. Following routines, staying with a task, managing transitions, and getting along with other children. ###### Teen years Secondary school Independence, self-advocacy, and the skills that matter after school ends. Managing a schedule, handling frustration, and doing more without being prompted. ##### What we do not do Being clear about this saves families a wasted phone call. - We do not diagnose autism. A diagnosis comes from a physician or psychologist. We assess behavior and skills, which is a different thing. - We do not run a clinic or a center. Care happens at home, at school, and in the community. - We do not provide speech or occupational therapy. We work alongside those providers where a family has them. - We do not take emergencies. If a child is in danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988. Our number is (786) 432-7113. ###### My child is not autistic. Can you still help? Possibly. Applied behavior analysis is used for a range of developmental differences and behavioral needs, but coverage usually depends on a diagnosis. Call (786) 432-7113 and we will give you an honest answer rather than a maybe. ###### Is it too late to start? Earlier is easier, and that is true. But it is not a reason to stop. Teens make real progress on the skills that matter at their stage, and we would rather start now than talk about what should have happened. ###### Do you work with children who are not speaking yet? Yes. Communication is often the first thing we work on, and speech is only one route to it. Signs, picture systems, and speech generating devices all count as communication, and using one does not stop speech developing. --- ### [Areas We Serve in Miami-Dade and Broward](https://professionalhbservices.com/service-areas/) *We travel to families across Miami-Dade and Broward for in-home, school, and community ABA therapy. It depends on the assessment, your child's goals, and what your plan authorizes. It can range from a few hours a week to a full program. We will tell you what we recommend and why, before you agree to anything. ###### Do I have to be home during sessions? For in-home sessions, a parent or responsible adult needs to be in the home. That is normal and it is one of the most useful things to work on. We would rather coach both of you together and land on one approach than teach one parent a strategy the other has not agreed to. ###### How long does an assessment take? Usually across more than one visit, and often a few weeks from first appointment to finished plan, because it includes observation, direct assessment, time with you, scoring, and writing. We will give you a realistic timeline at the start. ###### Does my child need a diagnosis before an assessment? Call us and we will talk it through. Requirements depend on your plan and your situation, so a short conversation is faster than a form. Please do not send medical details through this website. It is the part of the assessment that works out what a specific behavior is achieving for your child, such as getting attention, escaping a demand, or meeting a sensory need. Knowing that is what lets us teach a replacement skill that actually works. ###### Will I see the report? Yes. You get the findings and the plan, explained in plain language in English or Spanish, and nothing begins until you approve it. --- ## Products & Services ### [In-Home ABA Therapy in Miami-Dade](https://professionalhbservices.com/services/aba-therapy/) *BCBA-led in-home ABA therapy for children with autism in Miami-Dade and Broward. We come to you, at home, at school, and in the community.* Our services #### In-home ABA therapy One-to-one therapy on your child's own ground, planned and supervised by a BCBA. Call (786) 432-7113 Insurance we accept ##### What does in-home ABA therapy involve? In-home ABA therapy means a trained therapist works with your child in your own home, on the routines that happen there. A BCBA writes the plan, trains the team, and adjusts it as your child progresses. Sessions happen where the skill is actually needed. Getting dressed is practised at the time your child gets dressed, in the room where it happens, with the clothes they own. That is the whole point of coming to you, and it is why a skill learned this way tends to hold. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst assesses your child, writes the plan, and stays responsible for it. A Registered Behavior Technician runs the day to day sessions under that supervision. You are not handed to a technician and forgotten. We measure whether it is working, and we say so either way. If a goal is not moving, we change the approach rather than keep running it. ##### Who is it for? - Children with an autism diagnosis, from toddlers through teens. - Families who want care at home rather than in a center. - Parents who want to be in the room and learn the strategies themselves. - Families across Miami-Dade and Broward who need a team that travels. ##### What do we work on? ###### Communication Asking for what you need, being understood, and understanding others. With speech, with signs, or with a device, whichever fits your child. ###### Daily living Dressing, eating, sleeping, toileting, and the ordinary routines that make a day run. ###### Play and social skills Taking turns, joining in, and managing the back and forth with other children. ###### Behaviors that get in the way We work out what a behavior is doing for your child, then teach a skill that does the same job more safely. ###### School readiness Following routines, sitting with a task, and coping with transitions. ###### Independence Doing more without a prompt, which is the goal of every plan we write. ##### Where it happens We travel to your child across Miami-Dade and Broward. There is no clinic to drive to. ###### At home Where the daily routines actually happen, with your own things, at the time of day they matter. ###### At school Working alongside the school team on the demands of a school day, with the school's agreement. ###### In the community The shop, the park, the waiting room. Call (786) 432-7113 Insurance we accept ##### What happens in a behavior assessment? A behavior assessment is how we learn what your child can already do, what is getting in the way, and why a behavior is happening. A BCBA observes, gathers information from you, and turns it into a written treatment plan with goals you agreed to. Nothing good comes from a plan written before anyone has watched the child. The assessment is the part that makes the rest honest, so we do not shorten it to start faster. A BCBA spends time with your child, usually across more than one visit and more than one setting, and spends time with you, because you know things no observation will show. We use established assessment tools, not a questionnaire and a guess. You get the findings explained in plain language, in English or Spanish. If something in the report does not match what you see at home, say so. You are the check on our work, and we would rather hear it before the plan is written than after. ##### When is an assessment needed? - Before therapy starts, to decide what to work on and how much support is needed. - When a behavior is new, escalating, or not responding to the current plan. - When your health plan requires a reassessment to continue authorizing services. - When a child moves between schools, homes, or stages and the plan needs to catch up. ##### What do you do with the results? ###### A written treatment plan The goals, how each will be taught, who delivers it, and how often. This is the Treatment Planning part of what we do, and it comes out of the assessment rather than ahead of it. ###### Goals in plain language Written so you can tell whether they are being met, not so they read well to an insurer. ###### A behavior support plan Where a behavior is getting in the way, what it is doing for your child and what we will teach instead. ###### What gets measured The specific data we will collect, so progress is a fact rather than an impression. ###### Your approval Nothing starts until you have read the plan and agreed to it. ###### Submission to your plan We handle the authorization paperwork with your insurer. The places families tell us are hardest. ##### Is it covered by insurance? We accept Florida Medicaid, Simply Healthcare, TRICARE, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Florida Blue, Cigna and Evernorth, Aetna, and Curative. Plans and benefits change, so we check your coverage and tell you what to expect before you commit to anything. See insurance and coverage ##### Questions families ask us If yours is not here, the fastest way to a straight answer is a phone call. Call (786) 432-7113 ###### How long does an assessment take? Usually across more than one visit, and often a few weeks from first appointment to finished plan, because it includes observation, direct assessment, time with you, scoring, and writing. We will give you a realistic timeline at the start. ###### Does my child need a diagnosis before an assessment? Call us and we will talk it through. Requirements depend on your plan and your situation, so a short conversation is faster than a form. Please do not send medical details through this website. Our number is (786) 432-7113. ###### What is a functional behavior assessment? It is the part of the assessment that works out what a specific behavior is achieving for your child, such as getting attention, escaping a demand, or meeting a sensory need. Knowing that is what lets us teach a replacement skill that actually works. ###### Will I see the report? Yes. You get the findings and the plan, explained in plain language in English or Spanish, and nothing begins until you approve it. ##### Our other services ###### In-home ABA therapy One-to-one therapy on your child's own ground, planned and supervised by a BCBA. ###### Parent training The same strategies the team uses, taught to you, so progress holds when we are not there. --- ### [ABA Parent Training in Miami-Dade](https://professionalhbservices.com/services/parent-training/) *Parent training from a BCBA in Miami-Dade and Broward. Learn the same strategies your child's team uses, so progress carries into everyday life.* Our services #### Parent training The same strategies the team uses, taught to you, so progress holds when we are not there. Call (786) 432-7113 Insurance we accept ##### What is ABA parent training? ABA parent training teaches you the same strategies your child's therapy team uses, so the skills your child learns in session hold up at dinner, at bedtime, and in public. A BCBA leads it and tailors it to your family's routines. Your child spends a few hours a week with us and the rest of their life with you. That arithmetic is the entire argument for parent training. The family who knows what to do at 7 PM on a hard evening gets further than the family who waits for the next session. This is not a lecture series. We work on the situations you actually find hard, in the order you find them hard, and we practise them with you rather than hand you a handout. Parent training is a billable service under most plans, and it is usually written into the treatment plan alongside direct therapy rather than sold separately. ##### Who is it for? - Parents and guardians of a child receiving ABA with us. - Caregivers who want to handle hard moments with a plan instead of guesswork. - Families where more than one adult needs to be consistent, including grandparents. - Spanish speaking families who want the coaching in Spanish, not through an interpreter. ##### What will I actually learn? ###### Why a behavior is happening How to read what your child is getting from a behavior, which is what makes any strategy work or fail. ###### What to do in the moment A specific, practised response for the situations you find hardest, rather than general advice. ###### How to teach a skill Breaking a task into steps, prompting, and fading the prompt so your child does it alone. ###### Reinforcement that works What to reward, when, and how to stop a reward system turning into a bribe. ###### Routines that reduce hard moments Changing the setup so a difficult moment happens less, instead of only managing it better. ###### Reading the data How to tell whether something is genuinely improving, and when to say it is not. Call (786) 432-7113 ###### How often does parent training happen? Usually on a regular schedule written into the treatment plan, often a session every week or two. The frequency depends on your goals and what your plan authorizes. ###### Can I get parent training without my child in therapy with you? Call us and we will talk it through. It depends on your plan and your situation. Our number is (786) 432-7113. ###### Is it available in Spanish? Yes. We coach families in Spanish directly, including the goals, the strategies, and the progress reports. ###### What if my partner and I handle things differently? That is normal and it is one of the most useful things to work on. We would rather coach both of you together and land on one approach than teach one parent a strategy the other has not agreed to. ##### Our other services ###### In-home ABA therapy One-to-one therapy on your child's own ground, planned and supervised by a BCBA. ###### Behavior assessments and treatment planning A careful look at what your child can do and what is getting in the way, then a written plan you approve. --- ## About & Authority ### [About Our BCBA-Led Practice](https://professionalhbservices.com/about/) *Meet Yetiem Bello Rivera, BCBA and owner. A small Miami-Dade and Broward practice built on one idea: care should fit the child in front of you.* About the practice #### Care that starts with actually watching. Professional Healthcare & Behavioral Services is a practice led by Yetiem Bello Rivera, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who has spent her whole career with children who learn differently. The team works with families at home, at school, and in the community across Miami-Dade and Broward. (786) 432-7113 Request an appointment Portrait · Yetiem Bello Rivera, warm and professional Her story ##### From the floor of the classroom to the plan on the page. Yetiem did not arrive at behavior analysis through a textbook. She started in 2017 as a volunteer and then an assistant in special education, sitting with children who had autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, and learning what actually helps a child get through a hard morning. She became a Registered Behavior Technician in 2018 and spent three years running treatment plans one session at a time: teaching skills step by step, taking the data honestly, and telling supervisors when something was not working. That is the unglamorous part of this field, and it is where she learned to read a child. In 2021, after a master's degree in special education and applied behavior analysis, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has since added a master's in speech and language pathologies and certification as a Positive Discipline educator, because the families she works with rarely have just one thing going on. She opened this practice in Doral to do the work the way she thinks it should be done: assess carefully before promising anything, explain the plan in language a parent can use, and let the child's own data decide what happens next. The path here ##### Nine years, one direction. - 2017 ###### Started in special education - Began working directly with children with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome, supporting students with behavior difficulties in a school setting. - 2018 ###### Registered Behavior Technician - Certified as an RBT and spent three years delivering treatment plans one-to-one, collecting data, and supporting families day to day. - 2021 ###### Board Certified Behavior Analyst - Earned a master's in special education and applied behavior analysis, and became a BCBA. Moved from delivering plans to writing them. - 2024 ###### Professional Healthcare & Behavioral Services - Opened the practice, based in Doral and serving families across Miami-Dade and Broward, built around careful assessment, plain explanations, and staying with a family long enough for the work to matter. Credentials ##### The qualifications behind the care. ###### Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) - Behavior Analyst Certification Board - Since 2021 ###### International Behavior Analyst (IBA) - International Behavior Analysis Organization - 2026 ###### Master of Arts, Special Education: Applied Behavior Analysis - Arizona State University - 2021 ###### Master's Degree, Speech and Language Pathologies - Instituto Superior de Estudios Psicologicos - 2024 ###### Certified Positive Discipline Parent and Classroom Educator - Positive Discipline Association - 2023 ###### Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Behavior Analyst Certification Board - 2018 Day to day ##### What her work looks like. - Functional behavior assessments - Positive behavior support plans - Ongoing program data analysis - Staff training and supervision - Collaboration with school teams - Parent and caregiver coaching ###### English and Spanish, properly Yetiem works with families in both languages. That means the assessment, the plan, the goals, and the progress updates all come to you in the language you think in, not translated at the door. For families across Miami-Dade and Broward, that is often the difference between nodding along and genuinely understanding what is happening with your child.
