Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Professional Healthcare & Behavioral Services Inc works with families whose children experience the world differently. A website that locks people out would contradict the work. So we build this site to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use a screen reader, who navigate by keyboard, who need larger text, or who are sensitive to motion.
The standard we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That is the standard most public bodies and healthcare organizations in the United States are measured against.
We say "aim to meet" deliberately. We test this site and fix what we find, but we do not claim perfect conformance, because no honest website owner can guarantee that across every page, every browser, and every assistive technology.
What we have done
- Every page uses real headings in order, with one main heading, so a screen reader can give you an outline instead of a wall of text.
- Everything you can do with a mouse you can do with a keyboard, and the item you are on is always visibly outlined.
- Text and background colors are checked for contrast, and we do not use color alone to carry meaning.
- Photographs that carry information have written descriptions. Decoration is marked as decoration so it is skipped rather than read out.
- Form fields have real labels attached to them, not just placeholder text that disappears when you type.
- Text resizes and reflows without breaking the layout or forcing you to scroll sideways.
- If your device is set to reduce motion, animation is switched off rather than reduced.
- Tap targets are large enough to hit comfortably on a phone, and the page behind the menu does not move while the menu is open.
Where we know we fall short
Being honest is more useful than a clean claim. Some insurer logos are supplied by the insurers as images and we cannot change their internal contrast. We name every plan we accept in text as well, so the information never depends on reading a logo.
Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site blocks you, we want to hear about it, and we will not ask you to prove it. Call (786) 432-7113 or email [email protected]. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to reply within five business days.
If you need information from this site in another format, or in Spanish, ask and we will give it to you another way, including over the phone.
