Every stage
Who we serve
Children and teens with autism and other developmental differences, across Miami-Dade and Broward.
What ages do you work with?
We work with toddlers, children, and teens. Care is shaped around your child's age and stage, because what helps a two year old learn to ask for help is not what helps a fourteen year old manage a school day.
Early years
Toddlers and preschool
The years where a small amount of the right support goes furthest. Work is mostly play: asking for things, joining in, tolerating change, and the first daily living routines.
School age
Primary and middle school
The demands of a school day, and the gap between what a child can do at home and what they can do in a classroom. Following routines, staying with a task, managing transitions, and getting along with other children.
Teen years
Secondary school
Independence, self-advocacy, and the skills that matter after school ends. Managing a schedule, handling frustration, and doing more without being prompted.
What we do not do
Being clear about this saves families a wasted phone call.
- We do not diagnose autism. A diagnosis comes from a physician or psychologist. We assess behavior and skills, which is a different thing.
- We do not run a clinic or a center. Care happens at home, at school, and in the community.
- We do not provide speech or occupational therapy. We work alongside those providers where a family has them.
- We do not take emergencies. If a child is in danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
